Creating a Super Pet
Read carefully to discover how to get
the most out of your pet and learn how
to evolve it until it becomes a Super Pet!
If you've read the previous pages related to Pets, then you already have a good idea of how essential Pets are in Ether Saga Online. But before I give you the recipe for success, I want to recap a few details so you can remember some important points.
Pet types and Element Combos:
- Pious/Unda – Best for Mystics. Excellent pet for healing and buffs, good for PVP and PVE.
- Sensible/Pyra – An amazing pet for both PVE and PVP. Excellent for fighting bosses and other players.
- Passionate/Widu – An amazing pet for both PVE and PVP. Excellent for fighting bosses and other players.
- Wild/Widu – Especially made for PVP. Most high-rank skills are stuns.
- Fearless/Erda – An amazing pet for both PVE and PVP. Excellent for tanking bosses and other players.
- Potent/Oora – An amazing pet for both PVE and PVP. Excellent for tanking bosses and other players.
Recognizing a Super Pet
First, let's understand what makes a pet a Super Pet.
All pets in the game, if you hover your mouse over them, will show a list of 5 growth attributes:
- Max HP Growth
- Max STR Growth
- Max INT Growth
- Max DEF Growth
- Max RES Growth
By default, when you capture a pet, these lines are Purple, meaning that the pet is not at its maximum possible growth.
To discover the maximum growth that the pet can achieve, take it to the Ancestral Forge, choose the option Meld Pet, and click on Preview.
Observe the marked areas in the image below; this is where it shows the maximum potential that the pet can reach, and of course, your goal to achieve.
When your pet reaches the maximum potential for that attribute, hovering your mouse over the pet will show the attribute lines in Orange.
Note: Understand that for the pet to reach its maximum potential, it needs to be close to the maximum level. In other words, in addition to having good melding, it also depends on its level to achieve a good growth rate.
Now that you know your pet's potential, I'll teach you how to increase the 5 types of attributes. However, keep in mind that it will be a time-consuming and laborious process.
The process will be divided into three parts: the first, Maximizing HP, is the easiest; the second, Maximizing INT/STR, is intermediate; and Maximizing DEF/RES is the most difficult.
1° Steps - Maximize HP:
At this stage, you should have already chosen the pet you want to maximize.
If you are maximizing a pet for Fuse, you only need to complete this step. However, if you are maximizing a pet that will remain summoned to assist you in battles, you will need to complete all three steps.
As an example of maximization, I will use a Fiesty Whelp.
Why a Fiesty Whelp? Well, Fiesty Whelps on our server can be obtained from the NPC Pokari Broker by exchanging Alliance Debris. However, understand that you can replace Fiesty Whelp with any other pet; I am using it only as an example in this guide.
Step by step:
- Catch a Sheep of the Elemental Type you have chosen. (These are located at Lorden’s Tree house in Gaap Lands.)
- Catch a Fiesty Whelp of the same element. (Is not required to be of the same element but same element will mean less leveling needed)
- Level both pets for at least 90+. The higher the level, the better for a Meld.
- Meld them together, Sheep as Host. Using Charm of the Addition to ensure success.
Note: If you do not reach the maximum HP potential of your pet after the Meld, repeat the process by capturing a new sheep with the same element and using it as the Host until you reach the maximum potential of the pet you are maximizing. In the example of this guide, it would be the Fiesty Whelp.
If you were maximizing your pet for Fuse, this step is enough. But if your goal is a battle pet, proceed to the next step.
2° Steps - Maximize INT/STR:
In this step, we will maximize the INT/STR of our Fiesty Whelp, which already has its HP maximized. Pay close attention to the details to avoid getting lost.
- Catch a Dewdrop Bunny Bright or Calm of the Elemental Type you want.
- Catch a humanoid (Feline Champ or Fallen Ones work well) of the same Elemental Type. (is not required to be of the same Elemental but same Elemental will mean less leveling needed)
- Level these pets to at least lvl 90+. (The bigger the better.)
- Meld them together, Dewdrop Bunny as host.
- Level maxed Dewdrop Bunny to at least level 90+ again. (The bigger the better.)
- Meld maxed Dewdrop Bunny to Fiesty Whelp.
Note: A maximized Dewdrop Bunny may or may not be enough to maximize your pet. If that’s the case, level it again to level 90+ and meld it with another humanoid before Meld it with your Fiesty Whelp
Many players stop after completing this step. Essentially, this step is considered complete when three of the five growth attributes of your pet are at maximum. Some consider a pet with three attributes at maximum to be a Super Pet, but since there are five growth attribute lines, in my view, a pet is only a Super Pet when all five attribute lines are at maximum.
3° Steps - Maximize DEF/RES:
In this step, we will maximize the DEF/RES of our Fiesty Whelp, which already has its HP/INT/STR maximized. Pay close attention to the details to avoid getting lost.
- Catch a 10 Auto-Repair Android (Ole) of the same Elemental Type. (is not required to be of the same Elemental but same Elemental will mean less leveling needed)
- Level these pets to at least lvl 90+. (The bigger the better.)
- Meld the 10 Auto-Repair Android into the Auto-Repair Android as the Host.(Put 1 on the host and combine the other 9 on it.)
- Level maxed Auto-Repair Android to at least level 90+ again. (The bigger the better.)
- Meld maxed Auto-Repair Android to Fiesty Whelp.
Note:This step will be very difficult, especially to get the maximum RES. So repeat the process as much as you can. Remember that 10 is the maximum combination that a Pet can have.
In conclusion, having a Super Pet with all 5 attributes maximized is a very difficult and time-consuming task. You will need to carefully analyze and decide if it is truly worth maximizing.
I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor, and who knows, maybe in the future, you'll be the owner of an Epic Super Pet!
